Warranty Information

This appliance is covered by the statutory guarantee of conformity under applicable EU and national laws. These statutory rights apply independently of the commercial guarantee described below and cannot be restricted or excluded.

1. Statutory Consumer Rights (EU Legal Guarantee)

Under Directive (EU) 2019/771 and its national implementations, consumers are entitled to a legal guarantee of conformity. Depending on local law, the statutory period is generally 24 months or longer where national provisions require extended protection.

If the product does not conform to the contract of sale, the consumer is entitled to free repair or replacement, or—where repair or replacement is impossible or disproportionate—a price reduction or refund.
Statutory claims must be exercised with the retailer, unless national law provides otherwise.

Nothing in this document affects or diminishes these rights.

2. Dunavox Commercial Guarantee (Manufacturer’s Warranty)

Dunavox provides a voluntary commercial guarantee in addition to statutory consumer rights.

2.1 Standard Warranty Period

Dunavox provides a manufacturer’s commercial warranty exceeding the statutory legal guarantee in a number of countries.

Where offered by the authorised local distributor, the commercial warranty period may extend up to a maximum of 36 months from the date of purchase and covers manufacturing and material defects under normal domestic use.

The exact warranty duration and scope are determined by the authorised distributor in the country of purchase, in accordance with local regulations and commercial practice.

2.2 Extended Compressor Warranty – Total of 5 Years

The compressor may be covered for an additional two (2) years, providing a total of five (5) years of coverage, if the product is registered at www.dunavox.com

 within 30 days of purchase, subject to local terms and conditions.

Registration of the product may be required in certain regions to activate extended warranty benefits.

In such cases, Dunavox may request basic purchase information (such as model, serial number, and purchase date) to verify eligibility.

The commercial guarantee is valid only with the original proof of purchase and, where applicable, verification of registration.

3. Territorial Scope

Unless otherwise specified by the local distributor, the commercial guarantee applies only in the country where the product was originally purchased.
Cross-border relocations may limit service availability due to different service networks, component standards, and regulations.

4. Warranty Coverage

The commercial guarantee covers, where applicable:

• Repair or replacement of defective components
• During the extended compressor warranty period, Dunavox will provide an appropriate warranty solution for compressor-related manufacturing or material defects, subject to technical feasibility and in coordination with the authorised local service partner.
  The method of resolution (repair, component replacement, or alternative solution) may vary depending on regional service capabilities and local regulations.
• Labour costs for repairs performed by authorised Dunavox service partners, where applicable
• Transportation of the appliance for repair, where applicable under local service policy

Removal and reinstallation of built-in appliances are the responsibility of the end user.

For safety reasons, no on-site service is provided for units installed more than 2 metres above floor level.

Warranty service is performed in accordance with local service practices and safety regulations.
The scope of on-site service, logistics, and handling may vary by country and installation type.

5. Conditions and Exclusions

The commercial guarantee does not cover defects or damage arising from:

5.1 Installation & Usage Errors

• Incorrect installation or failure to follow Dunavox ventilation requirements
• Installation in unsuitable locations (ambient conditions outside specification)
• Improper handling, misuse, or operation contrary to this manual
• Using the appliance for commercial purposes unless explicitly permitted
• Resale or secondary market use (extended warranty not applicable)

5.2 External or Environmental Factors

• Transport or relocation damage after purchase
• Impact, shock, mechanical force, or broken shelves/handles
• Scratches, dents, broken glass, aesthetic or cosmetic damage
• Wear, discoloration, or deterioration of appearance over time
• Voltage fluctuations, unstable or incorrect electrical supply
• Fire, flood, water damage, pests, mould, humidity extremes, or natural disasters

5.3 Components Not Covered

• Consumables such as lights, filters, accessories, decorative items

5.4 Unauthorised Interventions

• Repairs or modifications by non-authorised technicians
• Use of non-original spare parts or accessories

5.5 Contents & Consequential Damage

Dunavox is not responsible for:

• Loss, spoilage, or deterioration of wine or other stored items
• Damage to surrounding furniture, cabinetry, or structures
• Any indirect or consequential damage (e.g., loss of profit, business interruption)

To the extent permitted by law, Dunavox’s total liability is limited to the invoiced value of the product.

Nothing limits Dunavox’s liability for death, personal injury, or fraud where such limitation would be unlawful.

6. Force Majeure (Events Beyond Dunavox’s Control)

Dunavox is not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events outside its reasonable control, including:

• Natural disasters
• War, terrorism, or civil unrest
• Acts of government
• Pandemics or public health restrictions
• Strikes or labour disputes
• Transportation disruptions or border closures
• Supplier failure or component shortages

Performance is suspended for the duration of such events.

7. Claim Procedure

All warranty-related service requests must be submitted via the Service Request Form available on the relevant country page at www.dunavox.com.

To make a claim, the following documents are required:

• Proof of purchase (mandatory)
• Proof of product registration, where applicable (for compressor extension)
• Model and serial number

• Description of the issue and installation environment 

Repairs are coordinated exclusively by Dunavox and performed only by authorised service partners.

Any repair or replacement provided under this warranty does not extend or renew the original warranty period, unless required by mandatory national law.

8. Priority of National Law

Where mandatory national consumer protection rules provide stronger rights than those described in this document, such national provisions shall prevail.

9. Transferability

This commercial guarantee applies exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable, unless otherwise required by national law.
